Tuesday 24th Jan, House Moving Day
So sad, skipped Marcus Dengate's Rhythm section today cause have to move house.
The stupid movers came so late, should have dropped by school also.
Miss to catch Jenson's girlfriend (aka slipper girl/golden nails)... Miss their Shuffles lunchtime concert also. (T_T) [in tears]...must have been a must catch rock performance again like last sem.
Very sad to see my piano cover kenna dented. So ugly....hai...what to do, those people are not professional movers. Stupid dad loh, now have to pay extra for people to come repair it.
Spent the whole day unpacking, managed to complete like 5/8 of the job. Left my stuff toys and piano books. Must repair the piano first then I position my piano bookshelf nicely. Soon can teach at home and earn $$. (*Happy grin*)
Stayed up to do Tim's Boogie Arrangement. Managed to finish the flute, bass & guitar parts. So tom continue mainscore during the break times.
Time for bed...
Wednesday 25th Jan 1st 9am class: Jazz History
Left house bout' 8:10am. walked to the interchange to catch a train. Pretty fast I can say. Reached Dohby Ghaut in like 20-25min. Only bad point is must wait for the unpredictable bus 14. Wouldn't late also become late, cause the stupid bus comes late, sometimes even have like double 14 coming together.
Expected the guys to set up for history presentation, so reached class like 9:15am. Managed to catch a sandwich from the canteen before going up and managed to slip pass Ms M. She came and sat in to see the class VERY EMPTY and after the presentation, she came up with MANY NEW rules again. Late for 1min also late. So means cannot be late. Sighzz, even during those study days at SP weren't so strict.
But it's also good. Now I'll be concious not to be late. Cultivate a good habit of not being late. <--New year Resolution.
Extremely long day, maybe because I'm too tired. Did my arrangment in the library while Elmi & Shaari surf the net in the library after lunch. After concert practice went to library again. Wah, server damn slow. Cannot even surf the net and check my mails. Stupid Lyncoln still suggested that I did my work in school. See la, this is what happens to having a brother with a simple brain, thinking all schools like polytechnics like that got hih end technology...
Concert practice was not bad but previous week one was so much better. Jazz orchestra did Tim's Nexus. Cool song, now I'm slowly beginning to learn more about arrangement. It's not about having a complex one but the simplicity and beauty of harmony is the key to make a good arrangement. Thanks Tim!
Cancelled tuition, make up on Saturday morning 10:30am! =) then maybe go Tampines walk around before heading to Grandma there for reunion dinner.
Thursday 26th Jan 9:00am Jazz Theory
Slept early like 12mid-night and woke up bout 7am. Then went back to close my eyes and rest. Finally woke up at 7:35am. Got ready and left by 8:00am. So lucky, 34 came as I reached the busstop. Took to Tampines and changed 31. Fell asleep though, too tired. Still havent got use to my bed yet. Didn't managed to sleep really well. The morning sun never fail to wake me up. Wanted to change 30 at Bedok interchange but...the ZZZzz bug...
Changed at Marine Parade. Bad choice I guess. 196, another unpredictable bus service. Late for theory loh, went to class with Iwee cause he's also late.
Also don't really know what Tim's teaching in theory, anyway I just do the exercises. This book is rather simple. The concept it tries to bring across is easy to understand which is good but it doesn't really cover more in-depth. Have to buy the level 2 book I guess. Think the Mark Levine book is better.
Then transcription. Heng Tim never call me. I got prepare first chorus. Over the new year will finish the song. I can do it!
Had lunch opposite with Bel, Mi & Jenson before heading back to school. Unfriendly school, never provide fax services. Had to go all the way back to opposite and only to find out that they don't provide fax services also! *angry* Stupid postoffice eat $$, one fax $1. next time I go sell tissue 1 piece 1 dollar. idiot...
Went back to mainstudy, ran cause I'm late! Tim was still talking to Cathryn so lucky me. Alex....lat again... VJ also late....haiyo....mainstudy is at 2pm-3pm. In the end delayed cause Tim asked me to Harmonise VJ song. Sighzzz, this VJ, copy my style! Damn obvious also! *super angry* no originality... *******(hokkien vulgarities)
Late for LV's aesthetic...got into group disscussion. Think we're talking among ourselves rather then really discussing. LOL...
Music culture was GREAT! Watched this Thailand DVD about a person's biography with the instrument Renault. Very nice! Joyce promised to let us finish by next week.
World percussion...fun fun fun...syncopation... I think I'm very bad... Think I'm depending on my ears too much. Bob was great! Hail Bob!
Stopped by grandma's house. Ate 4 Char Siew Bao for dinner. Kissed and played with my Feifei before going home reluctantly...
